Anne-Kathrin Sacherer (maiden name: Weber) holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Freiburg. She studied Political Science with a focus on International Relations at the University of Freiburg, the University of Mannheim, and the Autonomous University of Madrid (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid). In her Ph.D. thesis, she explored the interplay between governments and multinational companies in the deforestation space.

As Research Associate at the Chair of International Relations at the University of Freiburg, she gained broad research and teaching experience in the fields of international negotiations, international climate politics, and private regulation.

Anne started working with Perspectives in 2015. Her focus lies on climate policy instruments, corporate climate strategies, and nature-based solutions, in particular in the forest sector. She is experienced in evaluating climate finance programs, consulting private sector actors, and providing negotiation support to relevant stakeholders. Anne speaks fluently English and Spanish.
