# Article 6 readiness in updated and second NDCs

Commissioned by the Swedish Energy Agency, Perspectives Climate Group in collaboration with Climate Focus has conducted an analysis of the updated Nationally Determined Contributions of 88 countries submitted to the UNFCCC Secretariat between 31 July 2019 and 31 July 2021, studying their considerations of and links to Article 6 cooperation. This broad assessment is coupled with three in-depth case studies of countries’ preparations for Article 6 cooperation both from the perspective of a country mobilising finance for additional mitigation action and of a country investing in internationally generated mitigation. It concludes on priorities for countries interested in Article 6 cooperation for the time ahead.
