Study on internal and external climate policies affecting export credit and insurance agencies
Delivered for Both ENDS.
The project aimed to provide a comprehensive review of the current state of knowledge about Export Credit Agencies' (ECAs’) internal climate change policies, as well as external public policies – e.g. those recently introduced by the OECD regarding coal investments that may impact ECAs’ operations with regards to their support for fossil fuels – against the objectives of the Paris Agreement. The study covered ECAs in seven countries (Canada, Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden) and evaluated the compatibility of their policies with the Paris Agreement.
