Climate action fails without credible policy. We exist to make it credible.
Since 2003 we have worked on climate policy, carbon markets, climate finance and UNFCCC processes. One partner for public and private players: we help governments raise ambition in line with the UNFCCC, and companies and investors navigate complex carbon regulation without cutting corners.

What does a credible tonne actually cost?
Answering it takes more than theory. From the first carbon credit to the Paris rulebook, our advice is tested in the field, not on paper.
Two entities, one mission.
We are deliberately structured as two organisations, so our research stays independent of our advisory work.

From insight to implementation
Our fields. One standard: environmental integrity.
Carbon Markets · Implementation
We take carbon market activities from first idea to issued credit: feasibility and scoping, methodology development, design, validation, registration to issuance, and the MRV that carries a project through verification and issuance. Across the Voluntary Carbon Market, Article 6 and compliance schemes, environmental integrity is the non-negotiable, and we never invest in or trade credits ourselves.
Carbon Markets · Policy
We help build carbon market frameworks that hold, and translate carbon market rules into tangible implementation options: advising on host country Article 6 readiness and strategy, eligibility and integrity criteria, organising policy dialogues and observing Article 6 negotiations. Evidence first, and we never invest in or trade credits ourselves.
Climate Finance
International climate finance plays a pivotal role in enabling developing countries to pursue low-carbon (mitigation) and climate-resilient (adaptation) pathways. We help governments, non-governmental organisations and financial institutions unlock and access critical climate finance, acting as a bridge between research and policymaking.
Mitigation Strategies
Working hand in hand with governments, sectoral institutions and local stakeholders to assess, revise, finance and implement ambitious NDCs. We support mitigation planning, sectoral integration, implementation roadmaps, Article 6.8 approaches, capacity-building, MRV systems, and the preparation of future NDC rounds in line with national development priorities and the Paris Agreement.
Adaptation Strategies
Climate change impacts are increasing across the globe. Making our societies and ecosystems more resilient to those impacts is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, yet adaptation efforts are being implemented too slowly. At Perspectives, we strengthen adaptation action by developing innovative approaches for fostering impactful activities on the ground and scaling up adaptation finance.
Carbon Dioxide Removal
We assess CDR methods and their governance frameworks, design policy instruments and develop methodologies for high-integrity removals such as Direct Air Capture, Bio-CCS, biochar and marine CDR. Our research shapes how removals are perceived socio-economically, accounted for, financed and integrated into national climate strategies and carbon markets.
Solar Radiation Modification
We assess SRM and design and evaluate adequate governance frameworks and research conditions. Our research shapes how SRM is perceived socio-economically and how domestic and international governance structures, regulation and respective public and private actors can work together.
Negotiations & Diplomacy
For three decades we have supported governments and negotiating groups in navigating the complexities of climate negotiations. Our objective is to facilitate international agreement on ambitious climate policy through technical advisory, capacity building and on-site delegation support, spanning Article 6, climate finance, adaptation and transparency.
