Support the client in conducting technical and financial assessments of green hydrogen investment opportunities. Identify the optimal system design from an investors’- and operators’ point of view.The following assessments were undertaken:• Evaluation and technical optimisation of a project’s design along the green hydrogen value chain• Modelling of green hydrogen production and utilisation options for a specific project, considering various potential system settings (e.g. solar power, wind power, different electrolyser technologies, storage systems, utilisation options), considering typical efficiencies.• CAPEX and OPEX modelling for the identified technical options, and implications for revenue streams• Case-by-case optimisation of system design

Project Overview

The objective of the work was to support the client in conducting technical and financial assessments of various green hydrogen investment opportunities and to identify the optimal system design from an investors’- and operators’ point of view. This will be re-quired for different, green-hydrogen focussed project types in various geographical locations and specific purposes – e.g. power generation and stor-age, industrial energy systems, heat production, and eventually even green hydrogen fuelled water desalination systems.While the project types and location will vary over time, the following assessments were undertaken:• Evaluation and technical optimisation of a project’s design along the green hydrogen value chain• Modelling of green hydrogen production and utilisation options for a specific project, considering various potential system set-tings (e.g. solar power, wind power, differ-ent electrolyser technologies, storage sys-tems, utilization options), considering typi-cal efficiencies.• CAPEX and OPEX modelling for the iden-tified technical options, and implications for revenue streams• Case-by-case optimisation of system de-sign.Further tasks may result depending on project-specific requirements and settings
