Anne-Kathrin Sacherer (maiden name: Weber) holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Freiburg. She studied political science with a focus on international relations. Before joining Perspectives in 2015, she worked as a research associate at the Chair of International Relations at the University of Freiburg. In this position, she gained broad research and teaching experience in the fields of international negotiations, international climate politics and private regulation.

As head of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), Anne leads the team working on the development, implementation, and evaluation of NBS strategies and methodologies. Anne supports clients in developing stringent and high-integrity NBS policies and activities. She regularly contributes to NBS capacity building as well as the evaluation of concrete NBS projects.

Anne also works on topics related to NBS, such as carbon dioxide removals, carbon markets, climate finance and UNFCCC negotiations. She is passionate about research and regularly publishes papers on issues related to global climate and forest governance.
