Cathrin Arenz is project coordinator for Perspectives’ grant projects. She holds a degree in social sciences and environmental conservation, worked as project coordinator of externally funded research projects at the University of Freiburg (2011-2016) and gained experience in managing interdisciplinary research projects, internal and external coordination as well as conference organisation.
Cathrin has been administratively leading Perspectives’ largest grant project for the International Climate Initiative (IKI) since 2018 [with a total volume of 4 Mio Euro].
At Perspectives, Cathrin is responsible for the coordination of publicly funded grant projects, and specialized in the administration of finances and reporting obligations according to the donor’s regulations. She has in depth-knowledge of both German and international requirements in grant project management and successfully worked on the completion of various projects. She also has experience in research with a special focus on forest policies, resource use and political institutions.
