Daniela Laßmann is an accomplished professional with a degree in business administration as well as a degree in environmental engineering, specializing in sustainable energy use, from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. Before joining Perspectives, Daniela gained valuable experience in international cooperation and climate policy as an advisor at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Her primary focus was on climate policy instruments, including National Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and the critical nexus of ozone and climate protection.

One of Daniela’s key areas of expertise lies in the sustainable cooling sector, where she has already developed various methodological approaches and innovative project concepts in the field of mitigation and adaptation.

At Perspectives, Daniela plays a pivotal role in projects centred around the development of mitigation strategies and activities, the update and implementation of countries’ NDCs, and the design of climate finance concepts. She innovates project approaches in the context of international climate finance and carbon market mechanisms, such as the formulation of mitigation activities under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. With more than 10 years of experience in consulting and project management in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, she brings a wealth of experience.
