Ikram Douba holds a BSc in Sustainable and Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Sharjah, and a Master’s degree in Innovation Management, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability from TU Berlin, alongside a Master’s in Management from SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Her background spans applied research, policy support, and work close to implementation, including experience in supporting small island developing states on energy transition-related outputs and capacity building at the International Renewable Energy Agency, following practical experience with solar PV design and operations, in addition to publications on the implementation side of renewable energy solutions.

Ikram brings a grounded perspective to analytical work, connecting technical realities with decision-making that can lead to meaningful climate action.

She is especially motivated by approaches that strengthen systems and their interconnections across institutions, finance, and delivery processes. At Perspectives, Ikram contributes to international advisory and research work focused on advancing mitigation and strengthening climate action. Her work supports themes such as climate policy implementation, assessment and quantification of impacts, carbon market readiness and implementation, and access to climate finance, among other topics. She excels at translating complex technical work into clear outputs for different audiences.
