Juliana Keßler holds an MSc in Climate Studies with a specialisation in environmental policy and sustainable development from Wageningen University. Before joining Perspectives, she worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on voluntary carbon markets.

At Perspectives, Juliana is leading the business areas Carbon Markets Design, Article 6 Implementation and Readiness and Carbon Credit Generation for public sector clients.

Juliana has been managing numerous projects for both public and private sector clients focusing on enhancing the design of market-based instruments regarding environmental and social integrity. She conducted various studies on the implementation of key carbon market principles, the responsible use of carbon credits and the development of robust carbon market strategies. For many years, she has been closely following the negotiations on Article 6 of the Paris Agreement and is advising governments on the robust operationalisation of the rules.
