Main project features:

The first part of the project was to update Perspectives’ case study on the Paris alignment of the Italian export credit Agency SACE, published in 2022, to reflect newest developments and available numbers. For the second part of the project, Perspectives developed a written report that summarizes the outcomes of a Paris alignment assessment for the Italian development bank Cassa Depositi e Prestiti S.p.A. (CDP). The report presented and discussed the outcomes of the portfolio assessment, based on Perspectives’ dedciated Paris alignment methodology, originally developed to assess export credit agency. Thus, the project refined the methodology to make it applicable to public development banks as well. Besides CDP’s alignment with Paris goals, its energy portfolio was assessed in detail. The project focused on international investments done by CDP and did not cover any form of domestic investment.
