Main project features:

The aim of the project was to conduct an in-depth study and survey across different cooling sectros to develop the National Green Cooling Program, provide recommendation for high energy efficiency and low carbon technologies and estiamte energy savings in the cooling sector. The NGCP will also contribute towards Vietnam’s NDC and net zero targets by 2050.

Project Overview

Perspectives provided the following specific services in the context of this project: 1. Conducting a literature review to provide international benchmarks for Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) products. 2. Supporting the identification and modeling of energy use and emissions from seven sub-sectors of cooling across Vietnam in a Business-As-Usual scenario. 3. Identifying suitable measures and targets for developing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and best available technology scenarios. 4.
