Guidance on voluntary emission compensation and setting climate targets for organisations and other voluntary carbon market actors was developed. The guidance provided good practices and minimum criteria for voluntary compensation, as well as climate claims that are most appropriate for the Finnish context.
Perspectives supported the development of guidance for voluntary compensation in Finland, especially the mapping of international initiatives and good practice. Specifically, Perspectives: – lead the research on existing voluntary initiatives and national guidance on climate claims and compensation – supported the guidance for organisations making climate claims and using compensation – supported the guidance for organisations providing compensation services – supported the stakeholder engagement activities.
