Main project features:
The main goal was to prepare and publish two scientific articles in reputable peer reviewed journals based on the first ever study on potential SDG implications of CDR and SRM – previously elaborated by Perspectives in cooperation with C2G, Climate Strategies and the IASS. The articles were to be published in time to be included in the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report.
Project Overview
The Perspectives team led the drafting effort in collaboration with additional co-authors and led the two manuscripts through the peer-review process to publication. Additionally the team acted as reviewers of IPCC AR6 drafts, suggesting edits in the most appropriate locations of relevant AR6 chapters concerning the subject of Sustainable Development implications of CDR or SRM with a view to ensuring that the AR6 ultimately reflects the best available knowledge on these complex matters, based on the team’s experience conducting interdisciplinary analysis of the subject.
