The main goal of the project was to study special questions relating to voluntary offsetting, namely avoiding double claiming and the relationship between voluntary information-based policy tools and mandatory national regulation.
Perspectives analysed the conceptual, technical and legal aspects of avoiding double claiming between voluntary compensation and national climate targets, including through the application of corresponding adjustments and the use of voluntary contribution claims.
