This concept note was developed by a team of international carbon market methodology experts in the context of the “International Initiative for Development of Article 6 Methodology Tools”. The concept note lays out key elements for a tool that provides for a general guidance on updates to the monitoring elements of CDM methodologies, as well as related reporting and verification elements, to ensure alignment with the Article 6.2 guidance; the rules of the Article 6.4 mechanism; and modalities of the enhanced transparency framework (ETF).
