Mission Impossible: Harvested Wood Products under Article 6

Harvested wood products (HWP) – a term for various forms of woody biomass that are the result of forestry activities that has been coined in the context of national-level accounting in greenhouse gas inventories – are seen by some as important opportunity for climate change mitigation. However, their consideration under the Paris Agreement’s Article 6 is not straight-forward as discussed in this article.
