Application of financial additionality tests: case study Peru
Drawing on the theoretical concepts on how to undertake additionality tests developed by the authors in the report “ Financial additionality test for cooperation under Article 6” report ”, this empirical report provides concrete examples on how to implement the performance benchmark and payback period thresholds tests. Three Peruvian energy-related activities have been selected to illustrate their applicability. Examples of the cookstove sector and the artisanal brick production sector illustrate the implementation of performance benchmark tests, while small-scale hydropower activities are used to show how to apply the payback period threshold test.
