Paris-alignment in carbon crediting: What it means, why it matters and how it can be implemented
This paper explores what Paris-alignment can mean in the context of carbon crediting, and reflects on why and how it matters. It provides an overview of the elements of Paris-alignment, drawing on existing literature and initiatives, and presents key insights from a workshop on Paris-alignment across carbon credit markets, co-hosted by the Carbon Market Mechanisms Working Group (CMM-WG) and the Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market.
