URBAN ARTICLE 6 PILOT CANDIDATES IN ADDIS ABABA AND KAMPALA

Article 6 of the Paris Agreement is a promising instrument that could help leverage significant climate finance in participating countries. In partnership with ICLEI Africa, Perspectives developed four case studies for urban Article 6 pilot projects in Kampala, Uganda and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The mitigation potential, program cost, and co-benefits of each particular project were presented in online workshops with relevant stakeholders, highlighting promising avenues for implementation.
