Perspectives carried out the following tasks:• Supporting Wilton Park, working directly with Matthew Booth, to identify and develop recommendations on the capacity building needs for Carbon Markets (and that will hopefully create lessons that might imply for wider adaptation planning).• Draft a set of 5- 10 recommendations of capacity needs, and including who such recommendations might be aimed at; review and update these based on any wider consultations.• To develop these recommendations:- Familiarise yourself with Carbon Markets, and any UN guidance etc;- review any core insights about capacity building needs that have emerged from the dialogue sessions organised at the Regional Climate Weeks, (LAC and Caribbean, Asia Pacific and Africa/MENA) and from the conversations of the Action Group- Consult with key contacts (eg the Action Group as a whole or its individual members, or speakers from countries who have contributed to the Climate Week dialogues)• Be an active member of the Carbon Market Action Group, including support in shaping the agendas for the Action Group meetings, to help maximise the discussions and work towards identifying recommendations.• Contribute actively to the COP26 Catalyst Global Gathering (w/b 11 October) so that practical solutions can be identified for the recommendations• Contribute to the discussions at COP26 (if available and participating)
