Erin Danford holds a BSc in Environmental Science and an MSc in Environmental Governance. She has been working for Perspectives since 2021, focusing on UNFCCC carbon market mechanisms (particularly capacity building and pilot design for Article 6 of the Paris Agreement), as well as voluntary carbon markets, climate finance, and national mitigation strategies.

Erin has a particular focus on projects related to transport, waste, and cooling, as well as regional expertise in Southeast Asia, East and West Africa, and the MENA region.

While working on projects for both public- and private-sector clients, Erin focuses on topics related to national mitigation strategies (in particular, the development of National Green Cooling Plans), as well as carbon market project design (including calculating estimated emissions reductions and cost/revenue potential of carbon market projects, leading stakeholder workshops, writing project design documents, quantifying SDG impacts, and assessing applicable methodologies and costs of registration under various standards). Her private-sector expertise also includes assessing ESG risk, guiding clients through compensation claims and selecting high-integrity carbon credits, as well as market analysis (e.g. Article 6, voluntary carbon markets, etc.).
