Harnessing voluntary carbon markets for climate ambition
The final report of the Dialogue explores how the voluntary use of carbon credits can promote climate action and how Nordic cooperation can support best practices. It provides Nordic perspectives on best practice for the voluntary use of carbon credits, including a Nordic Code of Best Practice (“Code”). The Code synthesises ambitious requirements and recommendations put forward by relevant initiatives as well as inputs from Nordic stakeholders. The report concludes with recommendations for further Nordic cooperation on promoting best practices in carbon markets. The report can be accessed here: https://pub.norden.org/temanord2022-563/
