COP29 marked a series of significant achievements, including the adoption of a new climate finance target to replace the current USD 100 billion per annum and a pivotal agreement to advance the operationalisation of Article 6, set to commence in 2025.
In keeping with tradition, Perspectives Climate Research hosted a webinar to dissect the key outcomes and provide in-depth analysis of this critical climate conference. Held across two sessions on November 28 and December 2, 2024, the webinar covered an extensive range of topics: the main priorities of COP29, the strategic approach of the Azerbaijani presidency, notable side agreements and financial pledges, negotiation highlights, and a forward-looking discussion on COP30.
The recording is now available on our YouTube page at this link.
