The main objective of this consultancy was to provide advisory services to Honduran climate negotiators before, during and after the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) on 31 October – 12 November 2021. For this purpose, the consultancy focused on the delivery of two main outputs: (i) design and implementation of a custom-made training and capacity building program for the Honduran delegation, and (ii) delivery of a set of briefing notes on key topics.
Perspectives carried out the following activities:● Contribution to the pre-COP26 support to the Honduran delegation, including:-Mapping of the different groups and coalitions and recommendations on the positioning of the country;-Support to the drafting of briefing notes-Support in preparing meetings with the Honduran delegation● Contribution to the support during the COP26:-Support to the drafting of daily reports about the topics: Article 6, transparency, climate finance-Ad-hoc support to the delegation-Co-facilitation of meetings with the Honduran delegation● Contribution to post COP support:-Co-facilitating the Virtual Debriefing Meeting-Drafting of a summary of key points discussed and decisions taken at COP26 and contribution to the post COP Roadmap on the topics: Article 6, transparency, climate finance
