Portrait of Marc André Marr
For me it's important to use my professional time to make my contribution - even if only a small one - to making the world a little more sustainable and achieving global climate goals.

Marc has more than 16 years of professional experience in project management and consulting in the fields of energy and environmental management, GHG mitigation actions, carbon and climate finance and climate policy advice. He has more than 100 project references and extensive experience working internationally and managing large project teams for clients including development banks, international financial institutions, governmental organisations, multilateral organisations (incl. GIZ, World Bank, UNDP, GGGI), and the private sector. The projects he has been managing and working on range from sector- and country-wide activities for facilitating, financing, and implementing actions related to GHG mitigation, green growth and low carbon and sustainable development.

Marc has been with Perspectives for over 12 years, and is one of the key experts for mitigation strategies, carbon markets and sustainable development.

With his strong background on applying, designing and implementing international mitigation actions and climate policy instruments in developing countries and with his experience managing and coordinating international projects around the world, Marc is a key expert for climate change related project development and assessments (mitigation focus), carbon markets (CDM, Article 6), climate policy instruments (incl. NAMAs, NDCs LEDS), and climate finance. Furthermore, in his position as Director at Perspectives he was part of the management and in charge of the Business Fields “National Mitigation Strategies”, “Carbon Project Services” and “Cities & Climate Change” and gained strong expertise in business development, corporate strategic management and team leading skills.

Developing climate change related activities (both mitigation and adaptation) in an urban context is extremely important but involves many challenges. We at Perspectives are dedicated to help our clients realise the enormous potentials that lie in urban areas and to tackle such challenges. Interacting with local stakeholders, ensuring coordination with national and regional jurisdictions and comprehensive technical and financial assessments are among things we offer to help designing best suited and applicable approaches for the urban context.
