As technical partners of the West African Alliance on Carbon Markets and Climate Finance, Perspectives Climate Group together with Climate Focus has developed an Article 6 Readiness support Blueprint with support from the Alliance Secretariat and the coordinator.

It explains the requirements of the UNFCCC Article 6 rulebook in an implementation-oriented manner along with four Article 6 readiness building blocks: NDC alignment, Article 6 policy, institutional framework, and reporting/tracking. The Blueprint will support member countries in mapping stakeholders, understanding and addressing capacity and technical needs for the development of an Article 6 strategy. Using the Blueprint as capacity resource, countries’ can plan and adapt their Article 6 groundworks to national contexts and priorities.
