Delivered for Horizon Europe – Energy, European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.
The goals of the project were to accelerate of CO2 capture and storage (CCS) development by demonstrating safe and effective CO2 transport and storage, to increase the TRL of the CCS technologies developed, to define economically viable, societal- and environmentally- aware business models for a sustainable upscaling of the development of CCS. It was also important to provide experimental data, new methods and tools for safe design and risk assessment of CO2 transport. Other goals were to facilitate the safe operation of, enable revenues and credits allocation in CO2 transportation networks and develop a standard methodology for strengthening social acceptance of CCS technologies and monitor, prevent and reduce the environmental impact of transport and storage deployment.
