Consulting Services to conduct Adaptation Assessments in the LEAF programme countries
Delivered for African Development Bank.
To increase understanding of adaptation benefits of distributed renewable energy (DRE) projects, the Programme conducted a comprehensive study/ assessment per country, focused on the relevant technologies targeted in the countries by LEAF. To this end, the team developed a detailed framework for the LEAF programme was developed to establish the link between whether/how energy access, provided by DRE technologies, contributes to climate change adaptation as well as to assess if and how DRE projects enabled by LEAF provide adaptation benefits. The outcome provides guidance for the future quantification and monitoring of adaptation benefits resulting from the DRE projects enabled by LEAF where such benefits are identified.
