FMB - Climate Impact Assessment and Monitoring
Delivered for Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The main objective of the project was to further support and advance GIZ's monitoring and reporting system for direct and indirect climate impacts. As a contractor of the German Federal Government, GIZ implements a wide range of development cooperation projects in the field of climate change and climate protection. Climate-relevant impacts must be recorded and reported to the various clients (BMZ, DöAG, EU) in aggregated and standardised form. The project team assisted the client in the further development of the existing approach and tools for climate impact monitoring, including supporting in the introduction of standard indicators, sector specific tools, accompanying handbooks and guidance as well as piloting of newly developed approaches.
