Implementation of the GCF Indicator tool for developing the baseline of for mitigation, adaptation and GHG emissions for Accredited Entities
Delivered for Green Climate Fund (GCF).
The main goal of the project was to support the implementation of the GCF Indicator tool for developing the baseline for (i) mitigation and adaptation project results and (ii) GHG emissions across the portfolio of this Accredited Entities portfolio in order to evaluate the progress of AEs actions towards low carbon development adn increased resilience and identify a set of indicators which can be adopted by any AEs to report the progress.Main project outcomes have been:- Conducting the pilot phase of the application of the GCF indicator tool using AEs that have no existing reporting frameworks- Review and assessment of the existing reporting frameworks from the AEs accredited in the years 2015 and 2016.- Development of recommendations and guidance on the application of the GCF indicator tool for future reporting during re-accreditation.- Training for the AEs with regard to the indicators and application of the GCF indicator tool.- Development of the design for the GCF electronic database for recording the information submitted by the AEs with regard to the baseline.
