Study on the potential implications of Carbon Dioxide Removal and Solar Radiation Modification for the foreign policy and the security policy of Switzerland

The aim of the project was to explore the potential foreign- and security policy implications for Switzerland of large-scale carbon dioxide removal or solar radiation modification measures intended to counteract climate change. The resulting report has identified key uncertainties and open questions, highlight potential fields of action in particular within the toolset of the Swiss security policy framework. It has been built on inputs provided by Swiss security policy experts. The findings of the project were presented in a concise form in a short study and presented by the participating experts to interested audiences in Bern.
