Chandan holds a Master’s degree in Energy Technology from Tezpur University, India, and is a Consultant at Perspectives Climate Group. He works at the interface of climate policy, carbon markets, and methodology development under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. With a strong background in carbon offset projects, he has contributed to the design of innovative approaches that ensure environmental integrity, transparency, and sustainable impact. His work spans carbon crediting methodologies, project development, and policy advisory, enabling governments, private sector actors, and financial institutions to achieve ambitious climate goals through market-based solutions.

Chandan is passionate about shaping robust carbon market mechanisms that bridge innovation with integrity, enabling countries and industries to turn climate ambition into measurable action.

In his career, He has contributed to the delivery of more than 12 million carbon credits and supported projects and policy initiatives across Africa, South Asia, and SEA. His expertise spans methodology development, GHG accounting, and emission reduction modelling, with practical experience across technologies such as clean cooking, LEDs, solar pumps, biochar, and rice cultivation.
